WEEKLY THEATRE CLASSES
Brio Theatre Classes provide the foundation to best fit the theater education for you. For budding actors, participating in an introductory themed class can be an outstanding first step into their theater journey to test the waters. For more advanced students, rounding out your theater education in specific focus themed classes like Makeup Design or Accent Studies will polish your skills and excel your talents to new levels. Classes meet once per week.
If your student is looking for onstage performance opportunities to partner with their Additional Study Classes don’t forget to check out our Theatre Company offerings, open to ages 5-18, beginner through advanced students. We also have Ensemble Cast opportunities and private lessons listed below.
Ensemble Casts
Join our Musical Productions as an Ensemble Member
For students who want to be a part of large production, but are not quite ready to join our Company Groups, we offer ensemble roles as an extension of our Musical Young Actors company. This is perfect for students who want to give theatre a try without being a main cast member, or students looking for a production experience at a low commitment level. Ensemble members are a part of our large cast productions, participate in full group musical numbers, and occasionally have small acting roles in our musicals. Ensemble members join the cast once per week for an hour of rehearsal time.
Theatre Classes
We are reinventing our once-a-week theatre classes and creating acting intensives that combine several different classes into one amazing intensive!! Each month our actors will experience a different intensive from playwriting & and film to technical theatre and movement! All in 2 hours!
Each Class Meets Saturdays 1:45- 3:45
Classes are open to students 9 and older
JANUARY INTENSIVE: Scenes and Monologues
This semester brings our creativity from the page to the stage! Actors will learn how to use their imagination to breathe life into the characters they create. They will discover writing scenes and learn how to audition them. Work on the detailed workings of a scene with a variety of scene partners. Find moments, work on tactics, tackle objectives, and analyze a scene's makeup and build in this fun and interactive class.
January 13th, 20th & 27th
FEBRUARY INTENSIVE: Technical Theatre
Spend the semester learning all about the backstage magic that makes theatre work! Students will learn the ins and outs of lighting, sound engineering, and set. Our students will also explore the world of Theatre Design creating work in costuming and Theatrical Makeup! They bring their creativity to life!
February 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th
MARCH INTENSIVE: Movement and Physical Theatre
Get up and move! Our student will use their bodies to tell stories! We will be using Labon and Alexander technique to guide our students' understanding of spatial reasoning, pantomiming, and improv. Our students will be using their bodies as a tools to create art and have so much fun doing it!
March 2nd, 9th, 18th & 23rd
APRIL INTENSIVE: Film & Acting for the Camera
Lights! Camera! Action! We will be bringing the film set to Brio this April! Our students will be learning the ins and outs of acting for the camera from an expert in the field. Our students will learn what it is like to move from stage to screen in front of and behind the camera!

Voice Lessons
Private Musical Theatre Voice Lessons
During our 30-minute private voice lessons, actors work on improving their musical ability through ear training, sight-singing, theory, and vocal production training. While working with our Masters Level vocal trainers our young artists will expand their technique and ability while working with a teacher who will help them focus on their vocal quality and control, as well as their performance technique.

Private Acting Lesson Package
Private acting training allows your young actor to dive deeper what brings them the most joy! Working alongside one of our Brio Theatre Staff your actor can advance their strengths, work on new techniques and strengthen areas they are struggling in all in a safe and one on one environment. Lessons are 30 minutes in length.
Forensics Lessons

Our star Forensics Coach, Ms. Sam, is here to get your Forensics piece to state! With a 100% to state record, Ms. Sam has helped every one of her students succeed at Forensics and make it to the state level and power or place. Work with the best and soar during your Forensics competitions! Lessons are 30 minutes in length.
